APPLE PIE

A traditional Apple Pie recipe 

that is quick and easy to make

 for a perfect tea ( or coffee ) time.




INGREDIENTS:

60 g         flour
250g        butter
100g        sugar
2             eggs
1             vanilla sugar
½            baking powder
1             cinnamon sugar
apples

DIRECTIONS:

Peel and core the apples and cut into thin pieces.
In a large bowl, mix together the apples, vanilla sugar  and cinnamon.

To make the dough, stir together the flour, eggs, sugar and butter.

Mix the pie dough with a fork just until the dough holds together.

Transfer the dough to a work surface, pat into a ball and flatten into a disk.

Roll pie dough into two rounds .

Transfer one of the dough into the bottom and sides of the dish. Using a small knife, trim the dough.

Spread the apple mixture in the pie dish. 



Put  the second dough round over the apple filling. Trim the dough , then press together to seal.


Bake for 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the juices visible through the dough.



Serve with whipped cream or ice cream on top
